The People’s Continuing Duties to President Trump

In the days following President Trump’s massive electoral victory I have been in touch with hundreds of Americans who have asked me some variant of the simple question, “what now?” 

 

We have responsibilities as Americans to support this man, Donald J. Trump, who has done so much for us including, literally, facing death.  Each of the main points below I want to convey all seem to start with the letter “P” for our nation’s 45th and 47th President.

 

Praise.  Before moving forward, we need to look up and offer genuine praise to God for having spared America from four more years of corrupt and immoral leadership.  Many reasons can help us understand why President Trump won the election, including his amazing love for our country, but the most significant reason is set out in the Book of Job: 

 

“He makes nations great, [then] destroys them.” (Job 12:23).  With the power to raise and destroy, God has seen fit to give our nation a reprieve from the efforts by Globalists to weaken and undermine the spirit of Americans.  For this, our Lord deserves the Praise of His People.

 

God most definitely had his hand on President-elect Trump and his family, especially Don Jr., Eric, Melania and Barron, as well as his robust campaign team. Our nation will be eternally grateful for the love they have offered and the sacrifices they’ve endured. 

 

Protection.  There have already been two well-known attempts on the life of President Trump, and likely far more off the record.  These assassination attempts require extraordinary scrutiny by people detached from federal law enforcement.  Until that is done, the President needs to supplement Secret Service protection with persons whose skill set includes knowing how to protect a public figure.  Additionally, we need to Pray for God’s protection of President Trump.  

 

Personnel.  As the transition progresses, a small army of men and women must be hand-picked to help implement the President’s agenda.  It has been correctly said that, “personnel is policy.” If responsibility is given to those who came from the RINO-riddled swamp, we can expect them to resist every effort to return power back to We The People.  In the first Trump Administration, there were many, both military and civilian, who betrayed the trust they were given, and it is critical that this type of treasonous behavior is dealt with immediately.

 

I am often asked if we want leaders who are technically competent, or those with proven America First values.  To be clear, candidates should NOT be under consideration if they aren’t prepared to take an America First stance.  The People elected the anti-Swamp candidate. The MAGA movement has an abundance of talent, and we cannot compromise by selecting people who were credentialed by having served under the likes of a Dick Cheney.  Actually, we should be in the process of credentialing a new generation of young leaders to form our own team. 

 

Promises.  When President Reagan entered office, he delegated to one man, Martin Anderson, the responsibility to ensure that his Administration officials implemented and held in the highest regard the promises made by President Reagan while campaigning.  On bookcases behind his desk, he maintained notebooks containing those promises on every topic to ensure they were kept by his appointees.  If we want all citizens of our country to ever again entrust the MAGA movement with power, it must be based on demonstrated integrity.  We cannot allow anyone in the Trump Administration to feel empowered enough to betray the promises on which the President was elected.  

 

Peace.  I believe that at his core, President Trump is a man of peace.  He speaks of his desire for peace, and then works through plans capable of achieving that goal. To lead men into battle, it is necessary for the men to believe that their leader cares for their lives.  They know they may die in battle, but they must have the faith that their leaders will not risk their lives without a vital reason.  Perhaps not in some of the higher ranks, but most of our Armed Forces respond to President Trump because they know that he values them; he’s got their back.  With President Trump, we have a chance to break free from continual warfare.  Peace can be achieved through Strength.  Peace can come through Diplomacy.  Peace can be facilitated by a degree of humility — seeing the dispute from the other country’s perspective.  While Peace may not be a nation’s only goal, we should always strive to make peace our top priority.  

 

Perseverance.  The nation’s capitol is chock full of people who despise President Trump, and detest We The People, and they are likely not going away.  In government agencies, think tanks, NGOs, colleges and universities, and elsewhere, they are planning and plotting the demise of President Trump.  A huge number of them are on the government payroll in one way or another, and that funding must end — immediately.  

 

Just as President Trump was falsely accused of being a Russian puppet, an insurrectionist, a racist, and so on, we can be certain that he and his appointees will come under intense attack.  We must not be deterred by the lies and the false charges that we know are coming.  Hang in there, MAGA.  

 

This time, for certain, failure is not an option.  We cannot presume that we will have another chance.  As President Reagan explained:

 

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.  We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream.  It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

 

The MAGA movement must not retreat hoping that President Trump can do it on alone.  One man can’t do it all, and four years isn’t enough time to completely reverse course.  It doesn’t work that way.  It’s going to take all of us to pull together in unison and for the next four years to prevent the return of the kind of corrupt leadership our nation has had in place for far too long.  

 

We do not want to ever be in a position where we need to explain to our children and grandchildren what freedom was like, so start preparing for some serious dedication and sacrifice, as you know, there is much to be done.  

 

But what a great start — that first victory on election day truly was magnificent!
