Whenever there is a failure of one of the branches to do its duty to defend its constitutional responsibilities (and these current failures of our government represent a clear and present danger to our republic) — the duty falls on We the People to remove those who have betrayed their trust and to restore constitutional order.

But being hopeful is not a survival plan. Hope has never won a war, nor will it win peace on the home front.

Never should our nation, our president or any family or individual be so viciously targeted, maligned, smeared and threatened as we have all felt for the past four years and counting.

Where will you go to find another country that provides the opportunities and individual guarantees of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness outlined in our founding documents and guaranteed by a government of, by and for the people?

When the destiny of the United States is at stake, and it is, the very future of the entire world is threatened.

I was once told if we’re not careful, 2 percent of the passionate will control 98 percent of the indifferent 100 percent of the time.

There are seminal moments in American history that test every fiber of our nation’s soul.

We are facing one now.
